                                          Happy Daughter

No woman is shaped the same.  I believe that each women or girl has physical features that make her beautiful.  I think that wearing clothing that goes with who we are inside is like wearing the right prescription glasses.  I could wear glasses that are someone else’s prescription, fit the shape of someone else’s nose and ears.  However, I am not going to be doing myself much good.  Why not wear what fits my eyes or my body or my personality.

When my oldest daughter wants to look her best; she wears purple polka dot tights with black knee high converse shoes, a pink and white satin princess cut dress and a long red scarf thrown around her neck. While she does understand the concept of coordinating her clothes to match, she chooses to wear what she feels best wearing.

The only difficulty I have run into so far with a daughter with such a strong sense of self is how to buy her clothes for her birthday without her there.  So this year I didn’t.  I had her look at lots pictures of clothes. She told me what she liked, didn’t like, and then I blended them.  The end result, three weeks later was the coat she needed and the style that was all her own.
